Our African Children’s Stories Collections facilitate the preservation of oral traditions in local communities and provides culturally appropriate reading material for African children.
Building on tradition, we construct Peace Centres and deliver Peace Education, allowing children to engage in meaningful and positive dialogue and become advocates for peace, equality and change.
The School Improvement Program is a culmination of our initiatives from literacy and public speaking, to interning and mentoring, designed to improve Mathematics, Science and English performance.
Ducere Foundation works with governments and other NGO’s to improve the quality of public education across Africa. We focus on the implementation of education by allocating our resources to our three programs: the African Children’s Stories, Peace Education and School Improvement Programs. As part of the larger Ducere brand, the Foundation embodies a philanthrocapitalist approach to its humanitarian work. This means that the Ducere Foundation achieves its philanthropic goals by taking concepts and techniques from finance and business ventures: the conscience of a not-for-profit, and the mindset of a global enterprise.
