“Reading is dreaming with open eyes!” that is why at Ducere Foundation we continue to distribute our African Children’s Stories Collections across schools in Botswana as we believe in the power of literacy. Last week our team in Botswana we travelled to Morwa village, near Gaborone to distribute 400 books to Year 5 and 6 students at Ramogotsi Primary School. The School Head Mrs. Motsomi, Deputy Head, HODs, Teachers and Non-teaching staff warmly welcomed us with Kgomotso Maoketsa energising students with electrifying songs before the presentation. Next, Kenneth Seremane stepped up and shared with students the agenda of us coming to their school. Zibanani Mafa also encouraged students to write their own stories, working together as a community to improve literacy in Botswana.
